In a search for quality and constant evolution, Maarten, the Cellar Master, collaborates with one of the best oenologists in the region. This dynamic family estate, with a reputation for producing “Modern Cahors”, creates fine wines from the emblematic grape variety of the Cahors appellation; but at Château Famaey you will also find atypical and innovative wines such as natural sparkling or local white wines.

At the crossroads of tradition and modern techniques, the production of our wine is based on the richness of the grapes and a creative and rigorous know-how.

Each cuvée of Château Famaey expresses its terroir and the choice of aging method to bring out the best in the grape, whether it is aging in egg-shaped vats ,in sandstone jars or longer aging in barrels of French oak.

Today our wines are widely recognized and exported to around thirty countries around the world.
